Post 16 Curriculum

Highfield School’s Post 16 curriculum is designed to support students in their learning, provide interesting and exciting options and above all to prepare for the opportunities, responsibilities of adult life.

Students all have EHCP outcomes and in student’s “Golden Thread” folders we collect evidence of progress made towards their small step targets.  We aim to further develop our Post 16 students’ independence, communication, problem-solving, life skills, social-emotional and vocational skills.

Have a  look at the Preparing for Adulthood (DfE) website for more information on the skills we are embedding into our Post 16 curriculum.
