Admissions to the School
All students admitted to the school must be between 11 and 19 years old, and have a current Education, Health and Care Plan (or Statement of Special Educational Needs) detailing exactly the nature of their special educational needs. Highfield School is designed to meet the needs of students with Severe Learning Difficulties and Autistic Spectrum Conditions, and associated complex needs.
All admissions to the school are co-ordinated by the SENART Group based at Wakefield Local Authority Family Services Department, at Normanton Town Hall.
